When you are outside, you look at the world with Klaymen's eyes. Perspective of the game is taken in two ways - when you're inside, you're looking at Klaymen from the side, from the 3rd-person perspective. The puzzles are different from the easier ones, where you have to stack a certain pattern, through more difficult - where you have to assemble the mechanism, to the heaviest, which took me a few hours (if you don't have perfect ear for music, you will spend a lot of time in one of the houses). The whole game is a combination of different logical tasks that you must complete before you can move on and believe me, this game si gonna torment your brain cells. At the beginning, you wake up in a small room and you must solve the first task - to get out of this room. He must save the planet from the evil influence of malicious magician who tries to dominate Neverhood, so he could commit various evil things (classic adventure plot). You control a play dough character named Klaymen. The game stands out particularly for its graphics processing - all characters and scenery are made of play dough. The Neverhood is just such an example of games and it is not just good, it is an excellent adventure where you will be dealing with a number of logical tasks. Can it be fun? MAYBE, if you're into that kind of thing but all in all, this is not a great game at all for someone picking it up in 2019 and wanting something that will have some fluid fun in it.From time to time, there is a game that is so different from others that you remember it immediately regardless of whether it is so good or so bad. I know, the game is relatively ancient now, but let's imagine that we actually want to play this for the first time today because that's the point right? Well, I don't think this is a great game today. It sets the mood for this wonderfully entertaining game which, instead of featuring the usual cartoon-style graphics that we have seen in many adventure. Also it's extremely obnoxious at moving the character around, it's more or less very clunky in many ways. It's not hard per se, it's mainly that it's usually without much logic and with tons of backtracking for very little reason. The main problem is that the puzzle design is relatively nonsensical or at least obnoxious. In any case, the game is an achievement at the animation methods for that era, that's fine, and it had Lore which is relatively complex without requiring it but those are the only parts that it does relatively impeccably. Disclaimer: I have NO nostalgia glasses whatsoever for it since I never played it before, I had only seen some screenshots of it, if even that. Disclaimer: I have NO nostalgia glasses whatsoever for it since I never played it before, I had only seen some Meh, I think it's overrated. The Neverhood has a Claymation style and uses a Point-and-click control scheme.
